Biography
Anssi Tirkkonen (b. 1988) is one of the most prominent young drummers from Finland. Currently residing in Helsinki, Tirkkonen has recently worked with numerous artists in various projects including the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra, Game Music Collective and Max Zenger Globus.
Tirkkonen got his Master's Degree in Jazz Performance at the prestigious Sibelius-Academy in 2019. His list of achievements include the first place of Euroradio Jazz Competition (2018) and Young Nordic Jazz Comets (2014) competitions as well as being the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra's Young Soloist of 2019.
Tirkkonen has worked with Jukka Eskola, Aki Rissanen, Timo Lassy, Judy Niemack, Adam Baldych, Verneri Pohjola, Gustavo Bergalli, Jukkis Uotila, Jukka Perko and Teemu Viinikainen and has had the pleasure to study with the world's greatest drummers including Kendrick Scott, Omar Hakim, Greg Hutchinson, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Adam Nussbaum and Peter Erskine.

Game Music Collective
Game Music Collective is a combination of a band, a symphonic orchestra, and a live stage production established to exclusively perform video game music in a compelling live setting.

Max Zenger Globus
Founded in 2015, Globus' music transforms the beauties of nature in to musical landscapes.
In July 2018 Globus performed at the Jazz in Marciac Festival winning the 1st prize as the Best European Ensemble of the European Broadcasting Company's competition.
